I loathe Ohio State, but I don't think I could justify any other team at pre-season #1.

They don't play Michigan or MSU until November, so your "won't be #1 for very long" wouldn't be accurate if that were the case.

I honestly don't see them being tested outside of maybe the MSU game.

 

Other than that I agree completely, they have a great shot at running the table.
