July 23, 201511 yr So, if we check your dating history and if there are any dogs in there, you game for the punishment? No dogs on my record. And FWIW, that's just Levitical law. The New Testament doesn't cover it I don't think.

July 23, 201511 yr Author Is it possible, that someone in the US will see this article and say, "Hey, I can't find unconditional love from another person. And if this Dutch lady found it by marrying her dog, why can't I?" Is it possible?

And if this Dutch lady found it by marrying her dog, why can't I?" Is it possible? Sure it's possible some fruit looped loony tune could decide they want to "marry" their pet here. What isn't possible is for that "marriage" to be recognized by our government. Not sure why you can't grasp the flaws of your logic here. They're really quite simple and clear to see.

And if this Dutch lady found it by marrying her dog, why can't I?" Is it possible? There's nothing stopping me from "marrying" my desk (and I might as well be married to it). Any moron can claim to "marry" anything. Just because the Court extended the legal definition of marriage to include same-sex couples doesn't mean any of these ridiculous "marriages" are now or ever going to become legal. Ever.

I think I want to be married to Rachel McAdams. There I said it, so now it has to be true. :lol2:

July 23, 201511 yr NO! IT'S NOT! People won't be marrying animals. At least legally. Would you have made the argument that allowing women the right to vote would open the door for animals to vote? I mean, what's to stop horses from being allowed to vote?

Would you have made the argument that allowing women the right to vote would open the door for animals to vote? I mean, what's to stop horses from being allowed to vote? Completely different. Voting has to do with intellectual capability. Marriage, nowadays it seems, has to do with love and only love, which animals are capable of.
July 23, 201511 yr Completely different. Voting has to do with intellectual capability. Marriage, nowadays it seems, has to do with love and only love, which animals are capable of. But one day they might allow horses to vote. What if? What if? Is there anything stopping them? That's my worry.
July 23, 201511 yr Author But one day they might allow horses to vote. What if? What if? Is there anything stopping them? That's my worry. Women and blacks have proven to have intellectual capability, thus earning the right to vote. Until horses can effectively communicate to humans that they can think deeply about hot political issues in the same way humans can, then they will not be voting.

So then, until animals are legal citizens there's no need to worrying about them getting married.
