What are ticket prices?

Will TANK be taking fans from Newport like a normal Reds game?

Remember, it is also the Celebrity Softball game.

 

Not sure on the estimated crowd, but I feel like the lower seats will be filled and a decent amount upstairs. My guess is 32 - 34K. Be nice if it was full.

 

No idea on Ticket Prices, but I heard that you can find some one Vivid, Seat Geek, and etc. for pretty cheap.

 

I don't know why the TANK wouldn't be running. Runs for all other events downtown.

I'm hoping to attend this but was surprised by the overall lack of interest.

Hopefully Garrett will get pitch an inning in this game. He pitched last night but he should be able to give an inning hopefully. It would be nice if Yorman is in it as well but with the rainout yesterday I'm not sure it will happen. I want to attend this but I haven't pulled the plug on any ticks yet.

I am in a group that has 4 Reds season tickets. The "All Star Package" included passes for Fan Fest, Sunday's Softball Game and Futures Game ($80.00 per ticket), Monday's Workout Day -- the Home Run Derby ($290 per ticket) and the AllStar Game ($300.00 per ticket). No a la carte ordering. If you wanted tickets to the AllStar Game the whole package was required.

That sounds high to me for a minor league All-Star game and Celeb?? softball game. Have gotten first row RC for $10 for Reds games before, don't think have ever paid over $15 for good seats out there.

I was hoping this would be the cheap alternative for the weekend, with SRO going for $100-$200 for the Derby and Game, $30 for RF may be considered cheap though.:idunno:

This brings up the question, will they be selling tickets at the event to just get in, ala Reds games where you pay $8-$12 to get in and just stand behind home plate or wherever you want and tip an usher $10 to put you in an empty seat behind the dugout?

Doubtful. The Reds don't control ticketing or pricing. It's all done by MLB.

I think your best bet to get a cheap ticket is through Vivid (or a company like that). I know they had SRO's on there, not sure if they still are.

Amir Garrett gave up 1 ER in 1 IP, he looks really promising. I saw Waldrop hit once and he grounded out.

Waldrop went 1-4 with a run scored

Garrett threw an inning and gave up 1 unearned run while striking out 1. I believe he got the win.

Garret was hitting between 94-96 with his fastball. He struck out the first batter he faced, one of the Red Sox top prospects can't remember his name right now it might of been Margot. He then got the next batter to ground out routinely. The next batter got a bloop hit, then Schwarber had a passed ball allowing the runner to advance to second. The runner at 2nd then scored on a hit to the outfield on a close play at the plate.

 

Waldrop squared the ball up several times but only had one base hit to show for it. He put on a nice display in batting practice. According to Doug Gray over at redsminorleagues scouts said he has 25 HR power in the bigs assuming he can grab a starting role.

 

Yorman looked lost on a few swing but he did have one at bat where he smoked to liners foul down the left field line and then flew out later in the at bat to opposite field at the wall. Most of his power is to the opposite field.

 

Overall I thought they all showed flashes even if they didn't have a lot to show for it. Garrett was cruising until the bloop single and had impressive velocity, Waldrop was squaring the ball up and showed off a cannon in the field on a couple plays. Yorman didn't have his best day but he also sat on the Reds bench for way to long before playing in this game.

 

Would've loved to see Winker and Stephenson I thought over the last couple months both of them had turned it up and earned it. Other teams had their top prospects playing, the Reds were without their one and two guys although Garrett has been bumped to the number 2 prospect in the Reds system according to some. He has jumped Winker.
