July 9, 201511 yr Cueto doesnt want to pitch here anymore, one of the reasons he refused to discuss contract. And your basing this off of what? Let me guess...nothing? I watched an interview with Cueto yesterday where he was very complimentary of the organization, city & fans. He spoke about how he enjoys pitching at GABP despite its hitter-friendly tendencies...and he has been DAMN GOOD at home, too. 1.64 ERA in 7 home starts this year.
July 9, 201511 yr Problem is other teams know the Reds are not going to sign him, so they can give up less to get him. Reds screwed the pooch on this last year. Wouldn't surprise me if the didn't trade him at all. Everyone knowing the Reds are trading Cueto is a non factor. As long as more than one team is interested, they will have to compete against each other to put the best offer on the table
July 9, 201511 yr Rosenthal says Bruce is as good of a bet as anyone from the Reds to be traded. The Royals just lost Alex Gordon for a while and Bruce could fit in to that lineup nicely. Not saying the Royals are interested but it seems like a fit.

Not saying the Royals are interested but it seems like a fit. At this point I'm willing to trade anyone and everyone. The only problem is that they won't be able to deal BP or Votto, both of which are hamstringing them financially.

As long as more than one team is interested, they will have to compete against each other to put the best offer on the table This. It's an open market for Cueto, and a matter of competition. IMO he's the best pitcher available to a contender this month, so the competition to get him should be pretty stout. IMO, if the Reds deal him for just a top 100 prospect and then some other minor leaguers they are insane. Top 100 prospect's are a dime a dozen on their worth. Gotta be more than that. Need a major league regular and a top 100. You don't want to give this guy up for the next Austin Kearns.
