Coaching Jobs that are open.

Featured Replies

Henry Clay -nice job but tough district.

Hopkinsville- Great job and a lot athletes. But alot of competition just in your county.

Desales- They get some good players and some very good teams but seem to run out of gas come regionals. Tough region.

Clay Co.- Alot of pressure because the fans expect alot of you.

Mercer Co. With the consolidation this will be avery good job in two years.

Powell Co- There is talent there but you need a coach that will work harder than the ones they have had.

Woodford Co- This is the toughest one. But they could still be competive every year if they wanted to. They have numbers in the school and players.

West Carter-Its tough to put a good team together three years in a row there.

Nicholas Co- Good startup job for a young coach to get his feet wet.

Deming- Man you gotta love your job as a teacher to enjoy coaching here. Good community support.

Oh Yeah, the Owensboro job would be a good job if you could keep your kids in the district.

Nicholas County-once was a power here in the 10th region with likes of the players they once had in the past. Agree a young coach would benefit in getting their feet wet here.

Deming-correct there is a lot of community support, could be along year next year unless someone decides to step up, and bring their best game to every game.

Alot of times players put to much pressure on themselves, start by just having fun first, build a teams confidence up make them believe in themselves.

Fulton County- had a dissapointing season but have all 5 starters back plus Jeffrey McClain, the front runner for player of the year in the region.

Why is it that several of these jobs are not yet listed on the KHSAA website as open jobs????

I believe the the school's athletic director or other administration member has to post the job not the KHSAA.

If the school hires from within the district, they don't have to post it with the KHSAA.

Trigg Co.'s job is still open although the assistant coach appears to have the inside track.

I wonder if Curtis Turley will take any of these jobs.

I've heard he's applied for the Owensboro and Owensboro Catholic jobs.
