And, there it is, the inevitable Title IX comment.

 

I can only speak of the school I have been associated with, but here would be the scenario that occur: Raceland's Touchdown Club tells the football team that they will be fed prior to the game. The players show up, take all the food served, thank the people serving them, and eat whatever is given to them with no food left over. One of the girl's teams is told they are going to be fed prior to a game, half the players show up, and 3/4 of the players have their parents bring them fast food to eat in place of what is being severed because they don't like the food choices being offered, with half the food being given to other students because the players didn't eat it.

 

Am I just being critical? Nope, relaying true events that have actually happened.

So my older brother always said half the reason he played football was for the pregame meal. At CovCath, it was fantastic.

My memory is hazy, but if I recall the team is issued knives after the game and released into a nearby forest to hunt. And if they lose the game they don't get any knives.

 

Hope they don't encounter this poor creature. :lol2:

 

When my sons played at X the school paid for subway sandwiches after the road games which were taken with the parent group. As I recall the players took their own pre game sandwiches etc.

 

After home games parent sponsors provide food in the cafeteria for players and families. Burgers, pizza, etc.

On Thursday players went to players homes by position, which was fun. Luckily I did not have offensive linemen!
