Tigers fan caught a grand slam ball by the A's Ben Zobrist. He was thrilled with the catch until he realized his beloved Tigers were now losing. His passion came out in tears.

Very cool indeed. I love when professional sports players "get it" and give back to the fans.

I thought it was cool for two reasons. Obviously, seeing Zobrist take a minute to respond to the kid was cool.

 

However, I was touched by the kid's passion for his team. As I age I lose that passion for most teams I root for. It's good to see a kid loving not only his team but the game.
