I think Jim Harbaugh is going to upset a lot of people...dude is being crazy proactive so far.

 

I've never been much of a Michigan fan, but Jim is winning me over.

Jim is a nut and micro-manages his players.

I know Willie thinks his last name is Harrbaugh - but no way would I have let UM do a camp in my area. Got news for Willie all he did is open the door for Jim to start picking fruit from his back yard.

 

I guess Willie feels he needs to do something to help him win because I am sure his chair is getting warm. But this wasn't the right move. I guess if he likes leftovers it was.

Why Tuscaloosa? Bama gets few of it's roster from FL.

I can guarantee you, Coach T's perch is getting uncomfortably hot.

 

This wasn't totally Willie's call. AD Mark Harlan had to sigh off on it. Having got to know Mark some over the last year, I'd lay money that he cut some kind of deal with Michigan. Don't be surprised to see a home and home or 2 for 1 announced some time in the not to distant future.

What do you think @swamprat ? If I ever saw another D1 coach at a UK camp I'd lose so much respect for Stoops.

 

But I can see at a program like USF it will get a few more athletes on campus to potentially like USF

USF is a G5 school, now. They'll get the occasional 4 star and Willie Taggart is already out-recruiting the majority of the other G5 schools, at least according to the ranking services. However, the Bulls are already behind the 8 ball on the "cream" recruits, right out of the gate. From a donor's standpoint, this doesn't hurt us. If it helps turn the program back around, I'm all for it.

By the same token, if Mark Stoops is doing everything he legally can do to advance the football program at UK, he has my full support. If he brought Bob on campus for a joint camp and it helped land a couple of recruits that helped the UK program, who would have looked elsewhere after being snubbed by Oklahoma, I'm all for that, too.

I guess it comes down to being proud, and not getting there, or getting there. There is nothing that makes me more proud than standing in Commonwealth after a Cat victory over a SEC foe singing "My Old Kentucky Home" or in Raymond James after any Bulls win and singing the USF Alma Mater. I cry every time.

 

If it's legal and it can get us to where we want to be, I'll take the hit to my pride. The end result is more fun.

I can get behind them having a joint camp because of the family connections, but if anyone showed up I'd have a few issues.

Back in the day (late 80s-mid 90s) it wasn't odd at all to have position coaches from other schools work at camps. Now granted it wasn't advertised and it is different than this but it wasn't unheard of. I got coached by guys from a number of different schools while I was at camps.
