"Life-Threatening" Injury To Fan After Being Hit By A Broken Bat

What do you want to make them out of cork? All the ash trees are dead thanks to the Beatles.

What do the Beatles have to do with killing ash trees? Didn't they break up back in 1970?

Probably Yoko's fault.

On a serious note the lady is expected to live according to the medical reports tonight.

I personally don't really like the idea of nets, but at one point do they have to move in that direction. Scary stuff.

The most expensive seats in the house are coveted by nets. Just saying.

The only Beatles that I know are from Liverpool.

Glad this lady will be ok. This thread has made me covet Beatles

I was watching the Red Sox broadcast when it happened. I told my wife that if that bat hit someone that it could be bad. It broke off right above his hands and went flying just like he had lost his grip and slung it--except with a jagged end. The players all looked really shook up about it. I hope she's okay.

Was there a video of her actually getting hit? Curious to see if she was watching the game and made a defensive move. I've seen a lot of folks dodge some close ones.
