June 3, 201511 yr I'd love to see them give Yorman a shot. He's been on a nice hot streak the last week or so. Hitting .333 over his last 10. His plate discipline is terrible but it would be nice to see some youth brought up. Steve Selsky is a dark horse to be brought up. In the end I'd say it ends up being Dejesus. It's a shame Winker didnt start the season on fire, it would've been a perfect situation to bring him up IMO. Would be nice if we could have Devin work out in left field for a couple weeks in Louisville and see how he feels out there. Would be a nice chance to get him some reps out there, I'm not sure his hip can handle it though or if it's worth risking further injury. I think they're going to want to go with someone on the 40 man, unless they put Byrd on the 60-DL, which would exclude Dejesus or Selsky. How much longer until Bourgeois is healthy?
June 3, 201511 yr Can DeJesus play OF? I know I don't want to see Schumaker or Boesch out there on a consistent basis. Knowing the Reds they will trade for Chris Heisey today. 2 games in LF for his minors career. He has played a lot of 1st Base lately. He plays all over the INF. Bringing him up would likely mean lots of Schumaker, Boesch and Negron in LF. Another option would be Suarez at 3rd and Frazier in LF. I'm not sure it makes sense to move Frazier, but I'd love to see Suarez getting everyday at bats on the big club. He's played 3rd in the minors and 2 games at 3rd for the Tigers last season.
June 3, 201511 yr I agree with LRCW, I think at this point Rodriguez or Waldrop are the way to go. Both are very young, give one of them the job until Byrd is healthy and see if they look like they may be able to cut it.

I have a bad feeling someone off the 40 man means more Dominguez.

If that happens it just means Jay Bruce will soon be overtaken for the team lead in strikeouts. :lol2:

That's not good news, he fits the description perfectly of who they'd bring up. Made the team out of spring training, has LF experience in the big leagues, isn't a prospect anymore and strikeouts out a ton. I really hope it's not him.
June 3, 201511 yr Perfect night. Cueto looked great, but the team choked away a win. Anything to keep the clown show upstairs from thinking they can contend this season is a good thing... And I hate to see anyone get injured but now Byrd won't have his option vest.
June 3, 201511 yr Hopefully they give Dejesus some starts in left, I'd like to see if he could be a good bench piece next season. He's certainly earned the call up, he's always tore up AAA pitching with great plate discipline let's see if it translates. I think he had a cup of coffee with the Dodgers earlier in his career.
