Seriously, how inept is Cincinnati? What would that city look like if it was actually a larger municipality like Detroit? The same? Thank God that most of metropolitan Cincinnati has its own local governments.

To me this is one of those "sounds much worse than it really is" comments.

Really, what can CPD do in regards to "pushing crime to KY?"

Silly comment probably made out of frustration.

Maybe it's just me (and I haven't read the link), but it sounds more like a let's clean up the city comment.

Basically saying if criminals want to commit crime, "they're gonna have to go across the river to do it, because it isn't going to fly here". :idunno:

It is, but it also shows the amount of mental fragility in her leadership, and that is a problem.

People need to think before they speak! So she says "Hopefully, we can push the crime into Kentucky. I don't care if you quote me at this point." Then gets upset when people get upset over her comment? That she even said "I don't care if you quote me".

Yes, this is a blackeye on her and possibly the department. Clean up the cities problem don't push it to another area and have it just become their problem.

Shoot, I'm willing to throw in a few bucks to rent busses to haul our criminal element over to Walnut Hills and drop them at her feet.

Kenton County should release a bunch of prisoners and take them for a bus ride to this ladys front door.

Don't have to bus these folks. They already travel back and forth a lot to "hide out".

She's an idiot. I believe she meant exactly what she said. I never thought this "regional" mentality politicians push for tourism and other things was ever sincere anyway.

I work with a lot of "undesirables", most of whom I love. You may be surprised at how many patients we get who were bussed in from other cities. Quite frankly, working in Cincinnati, we get a bunch of patients from Kentucky who were told buy a local prominent hospital, that we give free health care here.

In truth, trying to shove problems elsewhere is not new. Sad, but not new.
