May 28, 201511 yr Author Tough talk for sure. I would like to see what happens if AP challenges him by not playing. It'll be like last year. So,,
May 28, 201511 yr Author I though the NFL zapped him last year. Refresh my memory? They did, and played without him so Zim has one season sans AP already. Just more of the same. I love his stance. Frankly I'm tired of AP's act. Trying to hold the organization hostage. Either get on board or stay at the house and earn no money. All those endorsement dollars have dwindled. I'm sure someone would ask him up to the booth if he decided not to play.
May 28, 201511 yr Read the whole article, and all I got out of it was "budding star Teddy Bridgewater." Not there yet but he had a very nice rookie season. Could see him being there after this year.
May 28, 201511 yr Author So basically he is doing what he learned from Mike Brown and the Palmer situation. Seriously, what do you expect the guy to do? You play the cards you have in your hand.
May 28, 201511 yr Author ^ The latest article I read has AP playing more ball. Sure, but he threatens that it won't be in Minnesota, well, I'd say the same thing Zim did. One week retiring. Next week playing but maybe Dallas. Next week his dad says he won't go to Minnesota. Whatever, I'm tired of the drama is essentially what Zim said. When it comes down to it, he has 465 kids who need their child support payments made.

Peterson is not taking part in the team’s offseason workouts and a report earlier this week indicated the running back wanted to be traded away from the team. Peterson spoke to Josina Anderson of ESPN Wednesday evening and said that wasn’t the case, explaining that his absence is about a desire for security in Minnesota. “The reason I’m not attending OTAs has nothing to do with wanting to be traded,” Peterson said. “It’s about securing my future with the Vikings. It’s business, not personal and I understand that firsthand. Go Vikings.” Adrian Peterson: I?m trying to secure my future with the Vikings | ProFootballTalk
May 28, 201511 yr I have no idea on the situation but if a team takes a hard line approach with any superstar that's probably the best at his position I think that superstar has every right to make sure the money is right.
May 28, 201511 yr Author Sure. And I don't believe the organization owes him a thing. He's under contract. Play or sit out.
