Coach Mueller spoke at the Glazier Clinics a few months ago. There is definitely a lot of passion still in there. I really enjoyed his take on the topics and unfortunately we ran out of time and weren't able to get through all the material. If I had the opportunity, I would go through the sessions again.

I ask him a few weeks ago at night at the races and he said not this season but next season possible. He would be a "great" person on the board. Not a "good one" but a "great one" as a board member.

My initial reaction to BackToLiveAction when we discussed it was....I Quit! I'm not coaching against him. He said no!.....He would help us! I will believe it when I see it but he can be on my staff any day of the week. If he thinks he is calling the Offensive plays then he has another thing coming.....:laugh: I can hear it now in my best Dale's voice...."Why do you guys run all these Power formations" Lets just line up our best receivers against their players and know we will complete the pass. Why shouldn't it be quiet? Don't think Dale's a member and nobody else knows what he plans to do other than what he's said and that has been noted in this thread already. He wants to enjoy his family and do some fishing. I could see the clinics periodically but doubt if he wants to put much time towards them.

I would like to see him take over a small school with a struggling program and see how he can turn it around.

 

At 60 I seriously doubt if he would take any position. He might do something part time but it sure sounded like he was ready to enjoy family and recreational activities. He might be expressing the second thoughts most people have when retirement stares them in the face though.
