It is a good schedule for Lloyd. Tough opener with Scott. WV lost a lot but will still be solid. Beechwood will be a huge test. Conner will get them ready for District play. Lot better than last year when they seemed shellshocked when NCC shut them out after they had rolled thru a non-district schedule.

I think the Scott gane is actually considered a scrimmage because Lloyd closes out the season against Harrison County. I think teams are not allowed to play district opponents on the last week of the regular season.

They will be good this year and have several really good backs.

Perfect timing on the talent coming up and beefing up the schedule. GO JUGGS!

That schedule tells me the head coach thinks he has something good coming the next couple years. Good numbers on the roster. I think the loss of Molitor is very big but if they can replace him they should be interesting to see.

The Juggs will have a stout offense with big, strong and fast weapons. Their problem has seemed to be their ability or willingness to tackle and defensive discipline. They will have skill, speed and size so if they can add a little discipline, they could be very good this year. Replacing Molitor will also be important and I'm not sure how that looks.

 

I see them being competitive with a chance to win all of these games except Beechwood and maybe NCC.

We will know very quickly about this team. The scrimmage against Scott followed by the opener vs Walton Verona will tell us what to expect.

I am excited that Beechwood and Lloyd are playing again, I think it is healthy for both teams.

 

I agree. I like seeing Lloyd back on Beechwood's schedule after being off it for quite a few years. Lloyd looks to be improving. It will be a fun game.

Question marks for Lloyd (for whatever the first 7 on 7 of the season is worth) - QB and defense. Did not see any of the running game of course, but Gaines is the real deal. Great hands. Can catch ANYTHING. Not sure how good a QB you even need with him out there IF the running game is as good as expected. Defense will struggle against mediocre teams, get killed by solid offenses they encounter.
