Michigan business owner says bring in guns, but gays should stay away

Featured Replies

GRANDVILLE, Mich. — A Grandville business owner is encouraging customers to bring guns into his shop and says he won’t do business with gays. Brian Klawiter made the statements on his Dieseltec Facebook page Tuesday morning.

Dieseltec is a diesel repair and performance shop located at 2875 Ottawa Avenue SW in Grandville.

Guns ARE allowed at DIESELTEC, so much so in fact that we will offer a discount if you bring in your gun. (“On duty” cops are excluded because thats not their gun, thats my gun bought with my money, off duty absolutely!)

I am a Christian. My company will be run in a way that reflects that. Dishonesty, thievery, immoral behavior, etc. will not be welcomed at MY place of business. (I would not hesitate to refuse service to an openly gay person or persons. Homosexuality is wrong, period. If you want to argue this fact with me then I will put your vehicle together with all bolts and no nuts and you can see how that works.)

Simple solutions:

if you are gay, don't go to his store.

If you are offended by guns, don't go to his store.

My favorite part of the Bible was the part where Jesus told the adulterous woman to get the heck off his property and then refused to have dinner with Matthew the tax collector.

:meh:

This whole thing has gotten ridiculous. There's a subtle but significant difference between believing that homosexuality is a sin and just being a tremendous jerk because your mother never taught you any better.

Sounds like this guy services Ted Nugent's trucks.

Thanks to some strategic editing, now he's banned from his own shop.

This guy plastered this stuff all over Facebook, right?

Shouldn't be hard for other businesses in the city/area to recognize this guy. If every business in the area refused this guy on their property, I bet his stance would change pretty quick, and I bet he'd be up in arms about it.

So, what would he say to someone gay with a gun?

You remember that scene from Scanners where the guy's head blows up? Something like that I'd imagine.

He probably assumes no gay people own guns, therefor he loses nothing by making such a statement.

The bolded is a gray area to me. Christianity does not teach that homosexuality (the state, simply "being" homosexual) is wrong. They teach that homosexuals are intrinsically disordered.

Christianity does teach that the practice of homosexuality (acting upon homosexual desires) is wrong. They teach that it is wrong for the same reason sex out of wedlock is wrong: Sex is for married people (the term 'married' may be a gray area to some people as well).

It is sad to say, but it seems as if most Christians do not know exactly what they say they believe in. Then oftentimes when you explain it to them, they say "Oh no, we do not believe that."

I believe as a Christian that there is no reason whatsoever for this man to deny a homosexual service. I believe as an almost-Libertarian that this man has absolutely every right to do so if he pleases.

Yep.

Nah, they have them, just shoot them left handed.
