April 11, 201511 yr The World team beats the US team 103-101 in the 2015 Nike Hoop Summit. For the World, Jamal Murray led all scorers with 30 points for the world team. Skal Labissiere contributed 21 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 blocked shots coming off the bench. Ben Simmons almost had a triple double with 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists. For the US team, Luke Kennard scored a team high 22 points. Isaiah Brisoe had 9 points, 9 assists and 3 steals. Jaylen Brown ended up with 8 points. Some sidenotes: -Really impressed with Murray. Didn't really know who he was until this. Looked him up and saw that Kentucky was recruiting him so that will be interesting to follow. -Simmons and Labissiere were the two best players on the court. Simmons plays the game so fluidly and looks to contribute in so many ways as he can. Probably the #1 in the 2016 draft. Labissiere really showed his offensive skill set in this game with some post moves of his. Played some great defense as well. -Brown didn't play well this game. Looked like he forced some shots at times. -Lastly, Newman and Briscoe both played really well on the offensive end but didn't really seem to care with transition defense when the ball was being pushed up the court. By the way, didn't know that Briscoe had a 7'3 wingspan as a 6'3 point guard. That is insane.
