I have been there a bunch of times the Reds are 3-0 so good luck it will be jam packed. It takes forever to get a drink in there also. I have never had their food I didn't even know they had food. I might be down there tomorrow night with some beautiful women though.
April 10, 201511 yr I can't remember what I ate last time I was there. I know sad. Seriously; my bdude got a Turkey club and I had a half and it was good but they may have something better. It will be packed.
April 10, 201511 yr Depending on how early your getting there, it might not be the best place to eat unless you just want bar food. I don't think I've ever eaten there or seen many eat there besides maybe a plate of nachos.
April 10, 201511 yr Their nachos are very good. Like their wings as well. As MJ mentioned, may not be the best place to go unless you guys are cool with bar food. Tin Roof right around the corner may have a better variety of stuff. Probably a bit cheaper as well.

We are okay with bar food but I am concerned about the crowd considering the opponent.

Anywhere on the Banks is going to be very busy all weekend due to the 1st weekend series of the year and the fact it's the Cardinals, so if crowd is a concern you may want to check out some other options. As far as the food at Tin Roof, they have a little bit of everything. Tin Roof Menu Yep, everything will be packed. I've eaten at the Tin Roof, but again, it's just solid bar food. It's likely to be standing room only as well, so if you want to eat, plan on getting there early. As far as the Holy Grail, I've been there a bunch, but never eaten food or even seen a menu. If you're looking for good food, you may want to look at other places downtown or in Newport rather than trying to eat at the Banks. Not that the food is bad at the Banks, it's just likely going to be difficult to get a seat.

Get there right after work or you won't see the bar without a blocking back. My old boss in high school owns this restaurant, and even he doesn't go there before Red's games. He waits for the rush to die down. I've never gotten anywhere ordering food there. You may be better off going up the block to Crave and getting something there.
April 10, 201511 yr I might suggest hitting up the OTR area. Lots of great options there (Bakersfield, Taste of Belgium, The Eagle, Lachey's, The Senate), and it almost assuredly won't be nearly as crowded.

April 10, 201511 yr As mentioned, every place is going to be crowded. The Holy Grail will probably be more crowded than the others as they're usually at capacity prior to games. They've only been down there 4 years, and the money they bring in now is pure profit. They have paid off everything. They are actually looking at opening a 2nd location down there.

It may be open....The pizza place, right? I thought they were hoping to have it open for Opening Day?
