cowboy90 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Saints get Max Unger and 31st overall pick Seahawks get Graham and 4th round pick
Hangman Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 This news sickens me. Seattle historically does not do well on the trade or free agent market on the offensive side of the ball. At some point, they've got to start using their high picks instead of flipping them.

theguru Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 So as a Seahawk fan you think this is a bad deal for your team? @Hangman
MJAlltheWay24 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 So as a Seahawk fan you think this is a bad deal for your team? @Hangman As a Drew Brees owner in a 16 team fantasy league, I think its an awful deal for my fantasy team. I'm not sure why a Seahawks fan wouldn't be thrilled with having a big time target like Jimmy Graham for Russell Wilson. What am I missing? Worried about injuries or something?

Let's not confuse Fantasy Football with real Football.
broadcaster240 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I hate it for Drew Brees and the Saints. It seems there was a bit of a contentious atmosphere about the relationship between Graham and the Saints, but I would have hoped it would be worth it.
Hangman Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 So as a Seahawk fan you think this is a bad deal for your team? @Hangman Yes. Obviously, Graham should be a huge upgrade at tight end. But this team was built through the draft. This will be three years in a row without a first rounder. Something has got to give eventually. Unger is no slouch either... He's a Pro Bowl center, after all.
Hangman Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I hope I'm wrong and that Graham proves his worth in Seattle. But I've seen this script play out too many times over the years to get particularly excited. Another team's treasure is historically Seattle's trash.
theguru Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I hear what you are saying and I can't disagree with you but Wilson to Graham has to make a lot of people happy, including Wilson.
Jumper_Dad Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 No Brainer win for Seattle...his FF numbers will be way down, but I think he will be a key to everything they want to do this season. G your right, let's not confuse real football and fantasy football..."Fantasy Football is the straw that stirs the NFL drink" to paraphrase Reggie Jackson!

I'm definitely liking the possibilities. I've just had my bubble burst a few too many times, so my expectations will be tempered.
ggclfan Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 This will help Seattle's passing game but hurt the running game. Unger is an all pro at center and while Graham is a great pass catching tight end, he is definitely NOT a great blocking tight end. I have no dog in the fight but I actually wonder if this trade hurts both teams a little.

I am thankful that fantasy football pumps a lot of money into the NFL. I feel better just saying that. But ff doesn't interest me at all.
