Meade County 67 Apollo 64 (3rd Region Semifinal)

Featured Replies

Damn, wanted Apollo to come out of the 3rd

Apollo finishes the season 18-13 Looks like Meade Co. may go to Rupp....Upset minded and playing together at the right time.

Pleasant surprise in the 3rd.

Apollo had a 20 point lead in the third quarter?

I think Owensboro trounces them. Beating Apollo is one thing and they have shown they can be upset by some teams, beating Owensboro is another with speed and huge inside game

Apollo had a "T" called on Young for hanging on the rim, and it was down hill from there. Meade was 9-11 in the second half from behind the arc and 4-4 in the 4th quarter.

Will Eli Wright be the the third region player of the year

OK..yeah he had a solid year as well

Apollo had an up an down season..never thought Meade would have won this one.

Zoinks. Ever heard of holding the ball.

Never changed defenses. Never any accountability for players making repeated poor decisions. Did not use size advantage sufficiently. Eagles played scared when it got tight. Not nearly enough pressure on the basketball and close outs were poor. Held the ball too often against zone. Meade played with team swagger, extreme confidence, well coached with a great game plan. They even had success pressuring Apollo in the 3rd quarter. Congrats to them. Hopefully, it will be a learning experience for all involved.

Next year should be a Paulo's year in the third region in my opinion
