kyle Rode and Marquise Walker are the best two 8th graders in ky that I have seen.

 

Allen is more impressive to me because he hasn't been held back. Rode played 7th grade two years in a row. To me he is a Freshman playing against younger kids which doesn't prove anything. Rode is an awesome player though I just have a hard time comparing him to other 8th graders.

This kid is the best 8th grader in the state is he not? Yes he is playing with KYWA at state tourney. Kid has huge upside.

 

I wonder how many of the 8th graders are affected by the new AAU rules? Would guess alot of them have to play up this year. I know Dontaie does not but would guess some pretty good ones do have to.

 

Kyle Rode and Michael Moreno are at the top of my list. Diablo Stewart is another really good one.

moreno is a great kid. I heard he left nybl session after team teague was forced to forfeit over a kid being to old. Hustle protested I heard.

We are not playing d1. We just got to many kids out hurt. Might play d2 but I really want to go back to bearcat though. We really enjoyed that tourny so we may not even play d2. Bearcat is the same weekend as d2. Gonna heal up and get ready for Lebron ,HIT, midwest youth national

I don't see NKY Legends in the group for U13 DI.

7th grade but we would have to play 14u if we played. 8th grade team is done. all playing baseball but one kid.

I just made the same decision today. We will decide on Bearcat vs. 14U D2 later. We decided to play this weekend in the Ohio Players event in Cincy. There are 14 7th grade teams in as of today. Hopefully it will be pretty good.

The Bearcat showcase is at 53rd. But it is designed for 2nd ~ 6th grade. They added the 7th grade when few teams entered. The Ohio Players is played various sites in the area. I'm going to check with the director of the Showcase. It's run by a guy in West Virginia.

I've seen Dontaie Allen play Diablo and Moreno! Shut them down while he put up big numbers...

Allen puts up big numbers against older kids as they can not... Not sure about Road or Walker so I won't speak on that YET!

Would like to see Allen play against these kids... He is a matchup nightmare for a lot of people yet alone 8th graders even tho I think those kids are hold backs!

Yea it had chad confused too.we play at 12:30 sat and 2:50 at landmark sports complex. We are under the thundermakers. Same team as last year and same players. The guy that helps me coach shannon fraley had the thunder and I had the playmakers. so he got calling them the thundermakers and it just stuck.
