Would like to see Allen play against these kids... He is a matchup nightmare for a lot of people yet alone 8th graders even tho I think those kids are hold backs!

A year from now can't wait to see Allen develop ...[/quote I have seen Allen play against and with these kids for years.

As of now the field for

I am trying to consider what tournament we are playing in this weekend. I have a 7th grade team that has two kids with August birthdays. Therefore we would have to play 14U.

Can anyone tell me anything about Futre, Magic, and Taylor Made? How big are they? Did they have kids that had to bump up to 15U?

Ky Playmaker are you guy's still planning to play?

School team playing d1 state? Must be a pretty good bunch. I haven't seen them play this year.

Yea it had chad confused too.we play at 12:30 sat and 2:50 at landmark sports complex. We are under the thundermakers. Same team as last year and same players. The guy that helps me coach shannon fraley had the thunder and I had the playmakers. so he got calling them the thundermakers and it just stuck.

Believe it or not I actually figured that was you guys. We play at the same time same location.

I wont be there. I got other kids playing this weekend at different places. Kinda handed it over to coach Fraley. good luck

Good luck to all the teams

They are pretty good school thing that's for sure. However I think they must've backed out because they're not on the schedule.

I believe the WV Bearcat team added a couple kids, and is playing as NKY Squad. Could be wrong, but that is what I think.

Yeah I think WV has Krohmer and the other guard from Twenhofel. Coach Grubbs does a great job with those WV kids. They will be very good in the 8th Region in a couple yrs.

The two teams you guys have in pool play look like a couple of average middle school teams. At best.

Well we have 3 starters out so should be interesting.

NKY Squad is mainly filled with 8th grade WV players. They beat Lexington future (variety of Lexington kids, decent players, not great shooting team) by 15, lost to KYWA Magic by 20 (Dontaie Allen, plus an athletic big from Knox County, Former Mr. Basketball Mike Allen's son from Bryan Station & others; they were loaded) & lost to Taylor Made (team out of Louisville, nice size, & couple of perimeter shooters who brought in a 6'3" ringer on second day) by 3. Allen had approximately 25 points with 3 dunks in pool play against squad & the 6'3" ringer for Taylor Made had several two hand slams in warm ups. Squad is completely comprised of 14U players & has won two of the four tournaments they've played in so far.

Crazy ending to the event. The team that beat the Thundermakers won the next game then got disqualified from the event. They had a kid that was too old to play. The Cincy Lakers protested and won and got beat by us in the finals.

Also, I've seen most of the top 8th graders around the state. I would currently rank Dontaie Allen #1 . He has a good handle, length, athletic ability, and range. Not a bad defender, but could get better & sometimes settles too much on the perimeter. Nice player though & I think will be talked about for years to come. Moreno from Scott County is a nice player too, but not as well rounded. Kid from Elliott County (can't think of his name) has excellent range, good handle, & no fear. Many other players from around the state as well. Northern KY is certainly well represented through the 8th, 9th, & 10th regions though. Lots of future solid players.

Does anyone have the 13U results? The KBA App is not updating.

wow, I was told we played like garbage against them and didnt deserve to win any way.
