Sounds like a war. Just got in from work. Any details? I thought this one's winner could well be the team who wound up in the finals out of the bottom.

X radio guys said it was 18 in the first half and 7 entering the 4th quarter.

With T & Ballard on the other side and a home opener, this year set up well for X. May have looked ahead.

When you are up 18, you are not looking ahead. They appeared to get tired in the 4th quarter and Waggenner got some hot shooting.60% for the game.

Wasn't Waggener supposed to be talented this season, at least coming in? Not sure that this is a huge shock because I thought both were very good teams. I don't follow the 7th like some of our other posters, so how big of a shock to y'all was this? I know St. Xavier is really good and capable of winning games, so I'm not trying to discount them at all.

 

I'm just trying to assess what Waggener is capable of going forward. Ballard made a statement tonight and I think the 7th runs through them, but can Waggener hang with them or Trinity (if T wins what I'd consider an upset)?

Talent wise Waggener is has a better stsrting five, and arguably best sophomore in the city who scored 20 in second half including two threes in the last minute to send it to OT

Don't count out the Crimsons!

Waggener does have talent but I believe their main point guard is out for the season. What Waggener is really missing is decent coaching. Unless the kids AAU coach behind the bench, the coaching is missing most of the time.
