After Wednesday it seems that the we will see winter return again. Everyone is not going to like what the outlook is showing as of this morning. After after some of us may seem temps in the mid to upper 50's on Tuesday and highs in the mid 40's on Wednesday. The bottom is going to fall temperature wise.

 

After the passing of the cold front on Wednesday we will see lows in the mid teens overnight Wednesday and highs only in the low to mid 20s Thursday. Lows will be in the single digits over night Thursday into Friday morning.

 

Now for the really bad part. With the passing of the front the rain should turn into snow for Wednesday night into the day on Thursday.

 

Let me preface these outlooks with this. These are very preliminary accumulation amounts and more than likely will chance as we get closer.

 

Western Kentucky and the counties along the Ohio River 4-6".

There is a wide area of the state that it is showing 6-8 inches. Cities included in this area are:

 

Russellville, Bowling Green, Franklin. Radcliff, Elizabethtown, Radcliff, Frankfort. Lexington, Maysville and all cities to the south east of these mentioned. This also includes most if not alll of eastern and southeastern Kentucky.

 

I will be refining the possible accumulation of snow as we get closer. We also will have to look out for freezing rain and ice Wednesday night.

 

If this trend continues tomorrow I will go into winter weather threat mode late tomorrow.

Chance of snow. As you can see some of us are looking at upwards to a 90% chance.

The good side to where we live is that we get to really experience all four seasons; the bad side is that we never really get used to the Winter cold or the Summer heat, and because we know Fall and Spring will be following, we wish Winter and Summer away.
