By the time Wilson scored, the game was already in hand.

Wilson's first field goal came when the game was tied at 2.

That's about the time the Camels had that game in hand ... Many people questioned if the Camels missing Wilson in the BOKC game made a difference. It obviously showed tonight. In that previous game Scott was able to get to the basket and finish without distraction. Tonight they were looking for Mr. Wilson as they went down the lane. His presence alone makes a difference on both ends of the court. Dominating win by the Camels.

37th District All-Tournament Team:

Calvary Christian - Justin Wade

Silver Grove - Billy Miller

Brossart - Spencer Hackworth

Scott - Darian Witherspoon, Jake Ohmer

Campbell Co - Blake Losey, Dre Jackson, and MVP - Matt Wilson

I would have kind of liked to see Trent McGovney on there from Campbell County. He hit three BIG threes tonight early when the game was still a game, and he gets the Camels up and down the floor effectively. Without him out there the Camels become very turnover prone.

Really glad to see Blake Losey on that list. Can't say enough good things about this kid's game. :thumb:

The Camels came out ready to show all the nay sayers that they were wrong last night! This was a total team effort led by Junior center Matt Wilson with a game high 18 points and 11 rebs. Sr. guard Blake Losey and Sr. forward Dre Jackson followed with 11 points each and Jackson adding 4 steals. Junior guard Trent McGovney added 5 assts. CC made 23 field goals holding Scott to just 7. The Camels will face off against Bourbon County on Wed, March 4 at 6pm at Mason County Fieldhouse.

CCHS looked very strong. I cannot say enough about role players in the game of basketball.

Craig Neltner just comes in and gets it done on this team. Not a lot of stats, but loose balls, tips, rebounds, stick backs, solid…kids just goes to work when he's on the court.

Great team effort from Camels last night. Good luck to them moving on.

A long, long time ago, I coached a 16U baseball team while I was in college. Aric Russel was on my team. He was a heck of a player, but even then, you could tell there was something special about that young man. He just got "it".

I'm biased but when folks talk about the best coaches in NKY, they don't mention Coach Russell. He has taken two different teams, from two different regions to the state tournament. Dude. Can. Coach.

Camels appeared laser focused last night. They will need that same defensive effort if they get a chance to play Mason Co. Congrats to Coach Russell and tge Camel fans/Players. Today the March Madness begins.
