Gonzaga / St. Mary's Updates

Featured Replies

Trading 3's and the lead. Under 4 and SM leads by 2. Should be a good finish.

58-56 St. Mary's 3:22 left this one is going down to the wire.

St. Mary's backers are crying themselves to sleep right about now. +6.5....how they lost by double digits is beyond me...

70-60 final Gonzaga outscores St. Mary's 41-20 in the second half after trailing by 17 in the first half.

St. Mary's probably lost any chance of getting into the tournament without winning the WCC tournament.

Almost ended up right thanks to the free throws.

Yep that was a good call.

My biggest gripe with the NCAA tournament is how they are obsessed with placing teams regionally. Look back at the path of the west each year and it is always the easiest. Gonzaga will end up being a 1/2 seed in the west with Arizona. Arguably the two worst 1 and 2 seeds. UK (and Badgers) has a chance to really get the shaft when Wisconsin gets the 2 seed in the Midwest. That would be the top 1 vs the top 2 seed. Rank the teams 1-68 and pair them as such. If you are a team looking to make a run, be shipped out west. See Wichita State, Butler, etc. Getslow and I were talking about this a couple weeks ago in a thread and he was hoping for the Cards to be shipped west. I'm thinking both of UL's Final Four runs as a 4 seed came when being sent West.
