I would hope so. I bet it would be difficult for some of these kids to make the decision to flip to a different team without full disclosure. I wish them all nothing but the best but it would be very disappointing if they were somehow misled when it comes to that sponsorship. Just seems a little weird to me that nothing has been made public yet even though Hoop Dreams had paid tryouts recently????

They had paid tryouts last year without the sponsorship. I'm sure I could get all of the details if I wanted to but I am really not concerned about the details. I know that could just be me though.

This is your contribution to the thread? I bet you're one of those guys that proclaims to root and cheer for all of the kids while silently rooting for them to fail. It's a shame too. We should be promoting all of these kids and supporting them and their future. Instead folks want to tear them down every chance they get. It's sad.

Not that I disagree with you, but where is this level of care for the kids and etc when your friend HoopDreamsCoachQ is talking so negative about other AAU programs? No offense but I would like to see you come to other programs defense the same way you do this one if it is about the kids...

What kids has he talked negatively about? When has he came on here and said xxxxx got throttled by xxxxxxxx and it's going to be a long season for xxxxxx? Don't confuse I think xxxx can beat xxxx with talking negatively about kids. It's no secret you two aren't warm and fuzzy but you spend way more time on here criticizing and bashing Hoop Dreams than he does bashing anyone. I don't hide my affiliation with Hoop Dreams from anyone. I'll also criticize any program, including Hoop Dreams, if I feel the need but I'm not going to crap on the kids like KySportsGuy did. That's petty and unnecessary and criticizing a program is way different than crapping on the kids in the program.

 

 

 

And no offense but I'd like to see you and Q be able to get along for the sake of the forum. I'm thinking you both have a lot more to offer other than celebrating each other's program's failures as that does nothing but perpetuate the stereotypes of AAU basketball.
