Lincoln County led 18-15 after 1.....but KCC went on a 53-25 run over quarters 2 and 3 to lead 68-43 going into the 4th. Cameron Justice led KCC with 24 while Evan Hall added 21. Timmy Taylor and Jacob Conway each had 19 for Lincoln.

Good win for Knott Central. I didnt expect it to be by this much, but the Patroits are very good.

 

I'd guess Knott would like to have another crack at Southwestern. Just reading the accounts of that game on BGP it sounds like Southwestern got hot as a firecracker from 3 land. But as the old saying goes, 'live by the 3 and die by the 3'. Do they shoot like that on a regular basis? There's no doubt, though, the trey is a great equalizer.

I think the SW game has really put a fire under Knott. SW shot 61% from the field and 68% from 3 against Knott. Tuff to beat a team with those kind of numbers...

I was very impressed with Knott tonight. Lincoln County is a very good team and Knott dismantled them. Really turned it on when Justice scored like 12 straight towards the end of the 2nd and never looked back. Knott scored 17 points in the first 4 minutes of the 3rd. They moved the ball extremely well against Lincoln's 2-3 zone, which they play quite well. Some effective high-low action with Christon getting it to Hall. Hall found Cornett and Combs on the baseline multiple times. I think the play of the game was a no look diagonal pass from Justice to a cutting Cornett for a layup through multiple defenders in the break.

KCC would have beaten a whole lot of teams to night, looked to be the real deal.....

When two really good teams play its normally about match ups and who is hot and playing well THAT nite. Lincoln does not match up well with Knott. Hall is the problem. SW does match up well so its just who plays the best or like that nite who shoots the best. SW has lots of shooters. No they dont every nite shoot 61 percent from 3 but they do have two kids shooting at 50 percent from 3 and 3 more shooting over 45 percent. SW is young and its hard for those guys to be up for every game. They are learning how too but make no mistake they can beat anybody. They have proved that but I am like most people I am not sure if they can win 3 straight against the likes of Wayne Boyle Lincoln to go to state. They showed they could in the Lake Cumberland tourny but either way it will be as good a region tourny that the 12th has ever seen.
