Ballard 77 Central 74

Final from Ballard.

I think it's fair to say that Central is a big-time player in the 7th Region, along with Ballard, Trinity, Manual, St. X and Eastern. What are the prospects that one or more of these teams is eliminated at the district level? I'd love to see them all make the region. I'd even pack a lunch and drive out to Valley to see the games.

I don't see any of them getting elimated at the district level. The closest one be KCD and Eastern, but I don't see that happening either. It looks to be wide open. I would like to see a Trinity - Ballard Matchup since they didn't play in the regular season. Heck I believe you'll have great games as early as the 1st round. Projected second seeds are: Eastern, Male, Waggener, Central/Manual. If I'm a 1 seed, I wouldn't want to see any of those teams in the first round. Looks like whoever wins the 7th won't have any games off.

I had followed this game until just before the half on twitter and was totally surprised to see this final. It was somewhat of a blowout when I was following. Coach Bibby has his team playing extremely well, and from his comments in the paper thinks this team has a chance to go a long way. Should be interesting. What a tough Region.

None really. The best chance would be for CAL to knock out Eastern out in the first round of the 28th but I don't see that happening. Ballard will thump KCD in the 1st round.

Central and Manual are well ahead of Portland Christian, Shawnee and St. Francis in the 25th. Those two make for an exciting potential championship game.

In the 26th X and Male outclass Collegiate and Brown with X the likely champ.

In the 27th the only drama I see is who gets the runner up nod. Trinity easily defeats Atherton in the first round and then knocks off either Seneca or Waggener.

Good synopsis, All Tell.

KCD beat CAL this season and unless I am mistaken they will play Eastern and CAL plays Ballard. Watch for an upset by KCD, it could happen if Eastern is off.

Thanks, I was going from memory and didn't look up the standings. I agree that's still the best chance for a dark horse to crash the regional.

In the 26th St. X (1) plays collegiate (4) Male (2) plays Brown (3)

the 27th Seneca has a shot at beating Waggener who has a lot of injuries on a team that is not deep.

Senecas' Coffey is the cream of the crop in the 7th region. He's got a sweet game down low. See how I got cream and sweet-n-low with coffee?
