February 9, 201511 yr OK, now we are talking some serious cash. $450M would have a $304M cash value (before taxes) so depending on the state you could walk out with around $175M clear AFTER Taxes. Odds of winning approximately 175,000,000 to 1
February 9, 201511 yr Author If I win, I'll buy 10 year memberships for most of the current "Premium Members" (but no reinstatement fees) Don't like Boise's Blue field? Wait until you see the purple turf at The Briar Patch! I wonder what it would cost to be allowed to set a recliner at courtside in Rupp? Anybody have the number for the Doctor that builds artificial hearts...I want one with either a blower or a turbo.
February 9, 201511 yr That's too much I only want about $8M after taxes. There is a point where it would have a huge negative effect on your life IMO.
February 9, 201511 yr I couldn't even begin to figure out how to spend all that. I bet the wife could though. :lol2:
February 9, 201511 yr I'd consult getslow and 2C and form a scholarship fund that would service kids who are tweeners. Not poor enough to go on the gov'ts dime, but not wealthy enough to go on the parent's dime. That would be my dream.

February 9, 201511 yr I'd buy/build the dream house we want, so that we'd never have to move again. I'd buy a couple new vehicles that we've never gotten due to the price tag. Make a sizable donation to our parish. Make sure none of our immediate family members ever have to worry about debt again. Purchase a couple "vacation properties" in a few locations we enjoy visiting. Nothing spectacular, just something that serves the purpose and is always there when we feel the travel itch. Invest the rest in an extremely low risk bond fund, and live off the annual interest. $100,000,000 at roughly 1.5% annually would be more than enough for us.
February 9, 201511 yr I couldn't even begin to figure out how to spend all that. I bet the wife could though. :lol2: I don't know either, but I think I'd like to try and find out. The real fun of having that much money is turning it into even more. 400 million dollars isn't cool. You know what's cool? A billion dollars. - Sean Parker... sort of.

I'll help you with that right now: it's called the Getslow Still Has Student Loans And Would Love Your Cash Money Trust.
February 9, 201511 yr I'll help you with that right now: it's called the Getslow Still Has Student Loans And Would Love Your Cash Money Trust. A pittance with that kind of loot.
February 9, 201511 yr A pittance with that kind of loot. No doubt. I've always had the same idea. I'd love to endow scholarships at Trinity, UD, and UofL if I was sitting on that kind of money. The other one I got after seeing a news story on the St. Paul Choir School in Boston. I'd love to endow a Catholic choir school here in Louisville.
February 9, 201511 yr Author If I didn't know you before winning, I wouldn't trust you after winning I'd follow the UKMF plan pretty closely. Would probably build a new church building for my church. I would subsidize advanced engineering, robotics, audio/video production programs in my school system. The Band would want for NOTHING, at least for the next several years! To Spindocs post, I'd look to help families in the middle also. Not just with college but giving them a chance to exhale and breathe. Family members and Close Friends would be taken care of, as needed. Would set up a charitable trust that focuses on helping working families.
