Jair Jackson 6"7 forward. He is a senior. Small frame but very good in the paint. High energy player and when he plays all out he really stands out. For some reason in the games I've watched Greenup this year he doesn't get the ball enough. Gage Hughes 6"0 freshman shooting guard. Really good shooter and can create his own shot. Good all around player and in my opinion either the best freshman in the 16th or top 2. He should be a 20 ppg scorer throughout the rest of his career. I think has Greenup has a lot of talent. Just very inconsistent play. I feel like they are capable of beating anyone in the region, but also if they don't play well could lose to teams that they should beat by 15 points.

 

For one Greenup just needs a better coach, and who are the other freshmen in the 16 that stand out, I might not realize they are a freshmen. With the right coach Greenup would be very dangers in the region. Jair and Gage could both be avg 20 a game with right system. The last 2 Games all Greenup `s did is give it to Jair, need balance, And have all year,

Jackson is a load down low very athletic and has a nose for blocking shots. I thought the kid that checked in there at the end and had not played all game checked in because someone fouled out and I just assumed it was to foul on the inbounds play. :idunno:

 

There where 3 kids on the bench that played in the game, 1 started. A dumb move by a dumb coach. The move didn't cost Greenup the game , but why would you do that?

Isn't he a good baseball player as well?

Fleming has a couple of real good freshman. Brad Glasscock a guard who averages around 10 per game and Zac Alexander a forward averaging about 8 a game. I'd put Hughes as #1 though. The kid is a real good scorer.

I heard Greenup was 8-28 from the FT line in this game and only shot 42% from FT line earlier in the week vs Raceland. I know most everyone probably remembers the phrase "Hack a Shack", I heard the word spreading through the 16th region was - if your in a tight game with Greenup late in the game go into "Hack a JACKson" mode. I thought that was pretty clever by whom ever made that up.

It was a terrible night at the line for Greenup Co. The Jackson kid really struggled.
