Dreaming here but it'd be awesome to see Knott vs say Ballard Saturday night and have Justice get hot. Watching him go for 62 at Lexington Catholic two years ago is one of the most enjoyable games I've watched. It may be the best individual performance I've ever seen.

 

The 14th region won the state championship with the Johnny Cox led Hazard team in 1955, then followed it up with a state title by Carr Creek in 1956. The region hasn't won it since.

 

They had a good chance with Hazard in the 1986 state tournament but lost to PRP in the semifinals in a hugely controversial officiated game that had the fans booing and carrrying on long after the game was finished. I personally think the Bulldogs would have beaten Pulaski County, the eventual state champs, later that night, but the refs took care of that opportunity.

Good win for SWHS and the 12th... but I think KCC is a great team. Justice is tough to stop. Another good match-up this weekend for them when they go to Lincoln to play a tough team. I haven't seen KCC play this year but I watched them a few times last year.

Lincoln County is tough at home. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.
