Who will be the Next best NKY QB?

Featured Replies

If I was Ryle's coach I would go with O'hara. Hard to trust someone running the qb spot that has moved twice.

Yes, the stats are off of KHSAA's website. So this will be his third year if he starts.

So he was at Hazard for 2 years and the year he was freshman QB at Ryle was when he was an 8th grader?

^yes

Good to know. It changes my impression of him a little knowing he was just an 8th grader when he was playing freshman ball at Ryle.

I've seen enough film, live games and camp workout to be 99% sure that barring injury he will be named the starter. JMO. You guys are really underestimating how good this kid is and how hard he has worked since 8TH gr. which was the last time most of you have seen him. I wish O'hara was a year younger if he really wants to be a QB. Those two being in the same class hurts him. He will play some DB or WR. The problem with all the underclassmen is that there are only a few that are going to get significant PT. This years team will be led by a roster full of seniors. Most that have been either starters or getting alot of PT, or waiting their opportunity this year. Good news is that most underclassmen will get another year to develop on JV. Some will play though, O'hara being one, Just not at Qb.

Why do you act like O'Hara has never played Qb? He has played that postion just as long as the Morgan kid. Why are you discrediting a kid that has been loyal for the past several years. He could have easily played freshman qb as an 8th grader as well but again stayed loyal to bcpwfl and finished out his 8 years, all being at Qb. Morgan has some numbers in 1A as anyone does, but that does not confirm any starting postion you have steadily given him in 6A. Is he the only kid that has worked since 8th grade? Seriously! O'Hara clearly is the better athlete/Qb, in the pocket and out! So, are we underestimating or are you over exaggerating?

Rule 5

I have said it before, and I will say it again...O'Hara is the better decision as far as a leader and quarterback for this team . I have seen this kid 's development ever since his first year in the bcpwfl and in high school. He is a true athlete, and from a family with athletic genes. Infact I always tease , really wish tbis young man would move to Taylormill ky. Football could use him and I am positive the basketball team could .. But in all seriousness, I would go with himthe next 2 seasons as your starting quarterback.

What about Desean Brumfield of Holmes?

I have only seen the youngman play once . This was last season against Scott. He seemed not to get much protection

From his Offensive line and rushed several passes. I would have to see him play more and blocking to be better beforegiving him a true evaluation.

I think that there will be 9 or 10 juniors that get significant varsity play time, most of them starting. It will be a good mix of juniors and seniors this year, which is a good thing for the program.

JMO from seeing both of them. That's my evaluation. You obviously have yours. Mine is based on ability and performance. I believe Morgan gives us a better chance to win. Pound your rock and I'll pound mine. I'm not trying to convince you. Just don't act as if I'm wrong if we disagree. We'll revisit this after the starter has been officially named.

There is a lot of coaches on here.

Just as there is lots of opinions.

Sounds like Ryle will have a great problem to solve this fall, nice type to have.
