January 28, 201511 yr Stanford swimmer caught raping woman on campus street: cops - NY Daily News A freshman standout Stanford swim team member has been kicked off the team and barred from campus after his arrest for allegedly raping an unconscious woman outside along a campus street in Palo Alto. Brock Allen Turner, 19, was on top of and raping the intoxicated woman along Lomita Court early Jan. 18 when two bicyclists happened upon the disturbing scene around 1 a.m. and stopped the sexual assault, Santa Clara County Deputy District Attorney Alaleh Kianerci told the San Francisco Chronicle. Turner tried to run off, but the good Samaritans held him down and called police. The Ohio native was taken to jail while the victim, who is not a student, was taken to the hospital, the prosecutor’s office said. The pair met at a party in the area near fraternities and campus housing. “She was lying on the ground unconscious, not moving,” Kianerci told the newspaper. “She’s recovering.” Turner has since dropped out of the prestigious university and is barred from campus, a spokeswoman told the Chronicle. “Matters like this the university takes seriously,” Lisa Lapin told the daily paper. Turner was charged with raping an unconscious person, raping an intoxicated person, sexual penetration with a foreign object and assault while attempting to commit rape. He posted $150,000 bail and faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted of the felony charges. The lanky 6-foot-2 swimmer, weighing 165 pounds, was a three-time All-American high school swimmer in Dayton, Ohio, and was recruited to join Stanford’s illustrious swim team, currently ranked 10th in the nation, according to the Chronicle. He swam in the 2012 U.S. Olympic trials in London and last raced for Stanford at a Jan. 10 meet, where he finished third in a 1,000-yard freestyle race and second in a 200-yard backstroke swim, campus newspaper The Stanford Daily reported.
January 28, 201511 yr What the heck?? What kind of sick individual thinks it's ok to rape a woman? So glad the Good Samaritans came along. And---but clearly secondary--- Is he not aware of everything he had going for himself and how many students would love to have his opportunities?

If these allegations are true, this guy should spend the rest of his life in prison. That will teach him a thing or two about his crime - literally.
