So, I'm driving back from my folks' place in Warsaw to Bardstown. Car overheated twice, dumping antifreeze all over the place — I guess something's blocking the line or I've got a bad hose.

Anyway, my car's stuck in Carrollton. Got my Mom to pick me up and bring me back to Warsaw.

Now I'm in a holding pattern for getting roadside assistance from USAA as their computer system is down. Once that gets up and running, I'll have to go back down there to meet the tow truck to get it back to Gallatin Co.

I needed to be in at work at 3pm, but obviously that won't float. Now I'm just hoping I can make it back to B'town for work tonight. My car won't be making that trip. I guess the saving grace is Mom and Dad have a spare car that's operational — we think — so I can get back home.

What a mess. I've got a bad case of the Mondays.

Yuck. That stinks Jim.

Get home, put on some Garth, & I'm sure he'll relax you.

Heck with it. Get home and fire up that smoker. I'll be over later. You can cry on my shoulder all you want while I eat some brisket and pulled pork:thumb:

I don't feel so bad about my day then.

Got up at 4:30 AM per usual. As I walked from the bedroom to the kitchen, I saw something in the floor...my 1 year-old new puppy had thrown up my wife's workout socks. I threw them away, and she later confirmed she didn't want them back. I let the dogs out and back in (feeling the deep artic blast from the opening of the front door). Then, as I was preparing their food...my old Lab uncontrollably poops in the floor. So I rush over to clean that up. Then I feed the dogs. With these duties all done, I go upstairs to workout per usual...all is calm...I get ready for work, but just as I am about to chase the dogs out of the bedroom and close the door, the pup proceeds to throw up what looked like about his last three meals of food on the very light beige carpet. The only way I can figure to clean it up is to use the dust pan like a shovel....this worked pretty well. I cleaned for about 20 minutes, thus making me late for work.

I'm not really sure what I have to look forward to when I get home. :scared:

I could really use a Peaceful, Easy Feeling right about now.

Wish I could. I'll probably have to pull an all-nighter to get my work done tonight. Next BBQing I'll be doing is for the SB party next week.

Ever find out exactly what was wrong with the car?

I'll have to cross that bridge when I get to it. Still waiting on a tow truck.

What time does the party start?;)

Well, as usual, music succeeded in turning my frown upside down. Driving back to B'town, dwelling on how poorly the day had gone, WFPK played The Cure's "Just Like Heaven" followed by Sinead O'Connor's "Emporer's New Clothes."

My stress knot is subsiding ... :D

...Sinead O'Connor's "Emporer's New Clothes."

I will live by my own policies

I will sleep with a clear conscience

I will sleep in peace
