Since last night CovCath has risen to 5th place nationally.

CovCath must have their entire school voting on this thing. They're moving at an incredible rate. We're just voting to get a wildcard place now....:meh:

We can still advance with the wildcard. :thumb:

Although Mason County now has enough votes to be rated 8th in the Nation, I have yet to see them listed anywhere within the top 50 in the overall rankings.

Not sure why.

So as i start to read they have Ballard list as only one state title in 1999. also said Allan Huston never won a title which he did on ballards 1989 team. Ballard has 3 titles and i think Lamp won one also.

"Oddly, none of those stars won a state title. The school’s only championship came in 1999"

I think that those "top 50 rankings" only list the top vote-getting school for each state. Not sure, though.

I think you're right... that makes sense.

I prefer "correct". "Right" just doesn't sound, well... right, given my tree-hugging liberal leanings.

Is this supposed to be based upon history or this year? I absolutely LOVE Trinity, but historically, I wouldn't rank the Rocks as the best program in the state by a LONG shot. Anyone know? This is the criteria:

  • On-court success (all levels)
  • Coaching/Player Development
  • Fans/Attendance (community support)
  • Facilities/Training/Uniforms

Just makes you feel....dirty...right?

Correct.

The Rodney Dangerfield of Kentucky high school basketball. 3 state titles and 5 runners up and the school has only been around since 1972

There's a couple of teams nationally in this contest whose numbers from yesterday have risen to astronomical proportions that almost seem impossible, especially Ames, from Ames, Iowa.

Either they've done a fine job in petitioning more folks to get involved with the voting or someone has figured a way to bypass the "I'm not a robot" controls and are using an automatic program for nonstop voting.

I could be terribly wrong, but I'm smelling foul play, but I have no way of proving it.

Foul play in a popularity contest, nuh uh.
