January 16, 201511 yr I'm not sure if anyone else has had this happen to them, but I did in Charleston, SC this summer and it BURNS like a mother. Leaves huge welts in strips as well. It is NO JOKE. Now...it isn't a shark bite, but it isn't a bee sting either. I got stung on the, um, donkey two years ago. It felt like a large bee sting that wouldn't go away. The lifeguard had some spray that neutralized it though and it wasn't too bad after that.
January 16, 201511 yr Did anyone volunteer to pee on it for you?? Sadly, my entire extended family were all lining up and chugging water. I went with the vinegar and shaving cream approach however. 48 hours later there was no lingering pain but I still had strips of welts on my legs and abdomen.
January 16, 201511 yr The wife got stung by a jellyfish in St. Lucia on our honeymoon. Over a month later and the welts and laceration marks are still there. She was in excruciating pain for a while. Those things are no joke.
January 16, 201511 yr That hurts just thinking about. It turns out that it's a bad idea to carry your bait in your back pocket in the ocean. Lesson learned.

January 16, 201511 yr When I was doing the IM in PCB I had a minor sting on my face but it wasn't that bad. Just left a little mark but had no effect beyond that. Guess he didn't get me that good.
