I've driven it a million times. I'm not arguing, I only made a point. Even if it's two hours, do you think Ashland gives a rats rearend if you are happy with your side of the bracket? When they don't suck, they do their best to load the opposite side of the bracket to benefit them, no different than Lex Cath does in their tourney.

Some old guy warned me about you :)

Was it the official with no teeth?

So, without looking for the brackets, is Dixie on opposite sides from Rowan and Dunbar?

It took the NewCath football team 3 hours to see a flooded football field back in August.

The flood worked out well for them.

Ashland is more than 1.5 hours from N. Ky.

I wish... Dixie is without 2 key players this tourney... Mitch Bolin 6'8 and Matt Isbel 6'4 are both MIA. Dixie gave significant minutes to JV guys yesterday... at one point 3 of them were in the game at the same time. The only time Dixie had everyone, and stuck to their main 8-man rotation was against Taft. Everything else has been potpourri.

With that said, after watching HC struggle against Ashland I like Dixie's chances... by a lot.

I'm guessing that Bolin is the guy on vacation, and no doubt it would be noticeable if you're missing your 6'8 guy. Is Isbel expected to return in the near future? Hopefully so. Although loaded with potential, has he yet to display what could be if he ate his Wheaties? Would love to soon see a breakout game with him. Being a senior it's now or never, and would make for a great story for him to become a force and live up to his potential. This is not a knock as I'd truly dig seeing it happen for his sake, as well as for helping the Red Colonels take their season to the next level.

Yes

Back to the HC / Ashland game...

Bezold isn't really big, but he has a high motor crashing the boards.

HC lives and dies by the 3... it will be interesting to see how many open looks they get against Dixie's M2M. Ashland played a 2-3 zone for the majority of the game.... which gave HC a lot of open looks from 3.

What a disappointment Ashland is this season.

Ashland is more than 1.5 hours from N. Ky.

Roughly 1 hour from Ashland Regional.

That is such a stunner. I never thought I'd see the day and I'm sure there are many Ashland folks who feel the same way.

It's craziness.

Tomcats will get their first win against East Carter today.

When we played Ashland in the late 70's and early 80's they were a big, powerful, and skilled teams. It looks like they have dropped off significantly since then.

There has been a noticeable dropoff since coach Mike Flynn left in the early 2000's.
