I was hoping he'd try to get Terrell Buckley. They coached Tierney at FSU.

Why does the special teams coach get no credit for a solid, if not spectacular, kicking game?

Because they sucked at all the other aspects of special teams. If a head coach has a competent offense but no defense they catch heat, right?

So they went the entire year without having a kick blocked and that doesn't matter because guys in position to make plays didn't

A lot of teams went the entire season without having a kick blocked. Outside of having a couple of good kickers, UK's special teams were terrible.

If you think his schemes had people where they needed to be all the time you were watching a different game than I was.

The Georgia punt return and the LSU punt return were due to players missing tackles and over running plays.

And most of those schools didn't want the special teams coach fired. BTW, outside of a couple of kickers how many more are there?

Look the special teams were a disaster against LSU outside of that they were not terrible. How about the recovered pouch kick against Georgia does that count?

UK fans wanted the OC, o-line coach, special teams coach, and Mitch Barnhart fired because of the special teams yet seemed fine with the linebackers coach and secondary coach. Go figure

Oh I gave full credit to the whole team being bad. The special teams worse than the offense or defense.

I'll respectively disagree. The field goal kicker and punter were two of the brightest spots.

That is because they are good at what they do. They were good at that before they ever came to UK. There were several other good players on special teams also, the problem is you couldn't tell that they were there, because of the coaching.

Naiver didn't coach talent which is what the kickers have, what he did coach were his schemes, and they stunk
