A little closer than I expected, but these two don't really like each other. I imagine records don't mean a lot.

Beckham with 24 for GC and appeared to get fouled on a three point attempt with around 6 seconds left and the Wildcats down 53-51. Toftness then hit 2 FT with 3.7 left to seal the victory.

Went to watch this game to see Williams came away disappointed. Thought the refs were in Duvall's pocket. Williams should have got a technical for tripping Gallatin's big kid and a horrible non call on a three pointer by the Beckham kid was horrible. There was also two suspect calls that cost Gallatin about 6 points on calls after shots were made. Duvall had the refs in his pocket Owen got all the calls. Other than these calls great game.

Two calls cost Gallatin 6 points?

 

One intersting subplot in this was that Beckham started the year at Owen and went back to Gallatin in November, if I recall.

I thought that the calls were definitely in Owen County's favor. Carson Williams is the most protected player in the region, he should have received a tech for grabbing the big kid's foot from Gallatin. Two very questionable calls on made 3's were a huge difference in the game because Owen scored and got the ball back. With 24 seconds to go, Owen was up 2. The Beckham kid ball fakes, the Owen defender clearly fouled Beckham while he was going up for 3 but the refs let it go.

Really glad to hear that, I think that everytime I see him play, but the reviews on here says he is the man, I saw Gallatin last week, was for sure not impressed with them,,just my thoughts.

Saw them get beat by Walton and GC was bad that game but they came to play this game. The Williams kid is the real deal just an outsider looking in thought the refs gift wrapped this game to Owen.

I agree with El Corazon Williams is the real deal, but the refs get caught up to thinking he never walks or commits a foul.

Wilson finished with 12. Dished out 4 assist and led in rebounding with 6.

I am certain coach Jones had a good plan on how to deal with Carson....

 

Anyone who was expecting a blowout tonight doesn't know how this district operates. Almost every game is a grind. When blowouts do happen, they happen at times when least expected (I.e....in 2012, a struggling Owen going to Gallatin and winning something like 56-28)
