Who will be Mr. Football 2015?

Featured Replies

Yes, he is and is already committed to UK.

I watched him wrestle this past weekend. Landon moves really, really well, big thighs, bubble butt and looks like he hasn't had to shave yet, he weighs about #270 and doesn't look like it.

He has impressed at camps/combines. I watched some film from a combine and he was fast off the ball and had good hand work. He's a player.

I think he has a high school teammate a year younger but similar size that UK just offered. I would love for my high school team to have one D1 lineman and Lafayette has two big time ones.

You have to love UK recruiting Kentucky players. It's nice to see.

I think Baker is the one you have in mind. Just a guess.

You are right.. However I hope the best player wins it. Which is why I wanted to go ahead and get this thread started. I know Baker will be in the discussion, but I am sure several others are deserving candidates also. To be honest, I believe it will go to someone other than Baker.

#1 center in the country is Drake Jackson. Can an OL win it?

Which school does he play for? The #1 player in the country at any position will definetly be a front runner.

Woodford County.

Kentucky has three linemen ranked in the top 5 of their position Nationally this year, one senior and two juniors.

An offensive lineman will not win Mr. Football. Not gonna happen.

I fear you may be right, but how many times do we say "This game will be won in the trenches"? And, we had a Defensive Lineman as a finalist last year.

Dillon Powell from Simon Kenton should be one of the top 5 players to have a chance at winning Mr. Football.

Baker is an explosive player, I think he'll win it just because the top two players in the state are linemen. Also Jake Long who baker shared a lot of touches with this year (not as many as he should've to Longs credit) transferred to a school in Columbus I believe.

Great RB, but not near top 5. He may not even be the best RB in NKY next year.

Really? 2239 yards rushing 325 receiving yards and 30 total tds as a Sophomore and Junior. I think he has a very good shot.

Again, like I said, he is a great RB but may not even be the best in the area next year. You have Collin England from Ryle and you also have the leading RB from this year who will also be a senior next year in Torey-Cordell Armstrong. That's just in NKY.
