Who will be Mr. Football 2015?

Featured Replies

Again, like I said, he is a great RB but may not even be the best in the area next year. You have Collin England from Ryle and you also have the leading RB from this year who will also be a senior next year in Torey Cordell Armstrong. That's just in NKY.

Armstrong struggled against 6A teams.

Armstrong struggled against 6A teams.

He didn't really play against SK and Dixie, had 4 carries against SK and 4 against Dixie

He had over a 100 yards against Ryle

and something like 166 against Campbell

and couple TD's in them also

How is that struggling?

How did Powell do against Dixie? 54 yards in the playoffs?

Don't think Baker wins it because mainly I don't see Ashland being very good.

The player most are forgetting that I think puts up monster numbers for a good team will be Pulaski County's QB Riley Hall.

Joquise Buford of Henry Clay is a name to watch as well. Nearly 2000 yards as a Jr in only 10 games.

Right now I would say:

Hall- QB, Pulaski Co

Hughes- QB, McCracken Co

Buford- RB, Henry Clay

Baker- RB, Ashland

Wakefield- WR, Male

95 yards the first game and over 50 yards the second game but didn't get as many carries that he normally does. He had back to back 400 all purpose yards and 8 tds in 2 play off games in the playoffs.

Not a lot of carries? I looked up those games, he had 40 carries in the Dixie games.

So if I understand you correctly, Armstrong isn't good because he rushed only 4 times in the game yet Powell is good because according to you he didn't get a lot of attempts (40 which averages to 20 a game is a lot)

Again, don't think I'm dissing Powell at all, he is so much fun to watch and a great player, but I think you are dissing Armstrong who led the area in rushing this year and you are also dismissing England who wasn't healthy all year yet had about as many rushing yards as Powell.

Great RB, but not near top 5. He may not even be the best RB in NKY next year.

He is a ton of fun to watch but I agree that he will have competition for best RB in NKY next year which indicates he's probably a long shot. I also don't think a lot of people around the state know about him.

#1 center in the country is Drake Jackson. Can an OL win it?

That would be so awesome but I don't see it happening.

Yes...but not at Woodford County

I could see it happen if a guy played for a Highlands or Trinity and had the opportunity to play some elite DT/DE talents and just simply dominated them.

The only chance Jackson would have is if Woodford suddenly had some breakthrough season and led the State in Rushing Yards. If the Yellowjackets went 13-1 and averaged 360 yards per game rushing after what they did last season I think he would have an argument.

25 carries in the first game 15 carries the second game 10 more carries he would had a good game. Powell also missed 3 games with an injury. He could have had 2000 yards easy.

Armstong had 11 carries 10 yards against Campbell County also. England and Powell had injuries.

you choose to ignore the fact that he still had more rushing yards than anyone else in the area and you ignore what he did against 2 other 6A schools. Not sure what your point is. Is Powell a good RB? YEs, is Armstrong? Yes Did Powell lead the area in rushing? No, did Armstrong? Yes

It should come down to how they do in 2015 and I look for Powell to get 2000 yards and 20 plus tds.

Armstrong missed playing time also so who cares? I'm just stating the fact that Armstrong led the area in rushing and the way that you continue to disregard that has me believing one thing and that you are uk#1fan because he is the only one that

1. touts SK above anyone else no matter what and

2. Ignores the facts when they go against his argument. and

3. Your account was created the same time uk#1fan got suspended

Sorry uk but your charade is up lol.
