silo11
wow this wasn't near as close as I anticipated. Nice game by Owensboro.
devils advocate
Owensboro looked really good, on the road, against a solid Daviess Co. team. Holman passes the ball so well from the high post. He had to have had 5-6 assists to Miller.
Bengal Maniac
Does Owensboro still have football players that will play and contribute?
ApolloFan98
After watching Daviess County take it to Madisonville on Tuesday, i expected this game to be pretty close. OHS is just so good at every position in the starting 5 that DC never had a chance. County loves to get in the lane and do damage but with Holman in the paint, that was a no go. Holman's defense completely changed this game. He only had 7 blocks but he altered about 20-25 shots total. Kid is special. Throw in Justin Miller who is an unstoppable force when Holman is drawing the defense up top and you have a pretty good 1-2 punch. Sanford was on fire in the 2nd half as well. When you get him going on top of what Holman and Milller do in the paint, im not sure how you stop the Devils. This team is really really good. Im going to dread facing them as an Apollo fan. ApolloFan98
I'm looking forward to checking Holman out tomorrow at the Hoop Fest. I still see him being a raw talent. If that makes sense. You can see his length and parts of his game that REALLY stand out. He is a great shot blocker and plays solid D in the lane. Ive also noticed his passing has improved to a different level than it was a year ago. I would like to see him be more aggressive though. He has a tendency to get complacent. You can just see he has ability to take games over and that is something i have yet to see from him. BUT that potential is there.
devils advocate
Aries Phillips is the returning starting PG. He is also a 3 year starter in football. He didn't play last night.
Brown
Afan98, Apollo is always good in bball and they'll challenge the red devils again - nothing will come easy this year in the 9th. Good luck to Eli - great young man.
