Bluestar Media ranks them #23

Hoopniks has them at #25.

 

No other Ky teams broke the top 100. This sets Trinity up just like Ballard last year, except they are ranked higher than Ballard was.

Trinity is NOT top 25 in the nation. I have nothing but respect for their program but that's incorrect in my opinion.

I'd have to agree with Wireman.

 

While they are loaded with solid talent and a premier player in Spalding., they don't have elite talent like Ballard had last year or other previously nationally ranked teams from KY.

Do they play any top national teams this season? What out of state tourneys are they in?

Alright, I'll be anxious to see how they do against a few top teams. For the record, I hope they win and have an outstanding season.

They might not be as talented as Ballard was last year, but they beat that Ballard team when it counted, and this year's version should be much better than last year's team.

 

I don't know enough about High School basketball on the national level to know if they are a top 25 team, but they are as big a pre-season favorite in the state as there has been in a long time.

Honestly guys.... not convinced Trinity is the best team in Kentucky. Believe Newport Central Catholic beat them last year, and NCC only lost 2 players off that team. Have not seen schedules but, if anyone knows, are they both in the "Hoops" tourney?

I don't know enough to say where T should be ranked on a national scale - and always take those rankings - especially this early - with a tablespoon of salt.

 

That being said, it's nice to see our HS hoops getting the publicity.

I think Trinity is at least top 40 if not higher because they are talented and well-coached. They will certainly get tested at the COP. They could go 2-2 and it still be a very positive showing. I'll be down there from the 2nd day until the semis so I'll miss their first game but I'll see the rest until the final day. We should know much more after that.
