It was a very clean, hard hitting game tonight. Ballard scored on their opening possession, and then Dixie scored 48 before Ballard could get in the end zone again. I couldn't believe how big Ballard was. Even their DBs were large outside of the one. However, Dixie was just more physical. The offensive line and defensive front 7 just dominated Ballard tonight. Congrats to Ballard on a great season, and congrats to Dixie on the win.

 

And for all the back-and-forth garbage that went on in the SK/Dixie thread, you saw tonight that that stuff doesn't carry over to the players. Both Hicks and Vercheak (sp?) were down on the field after the game to congratulate the Dixie players on the win. Kudos to those boys.

The touchdown run was impressive where he carried the pile in from the 7. However, Brandon Johnson had a huge hand in that. Zajac is very fun to watch and very good. He has the vision, quickness, speed, and power. He made some cuts tonight that left a lot of laundry on the field.

Zajac is a tough runner; I really like what I saw of him in the few games I watched. The combination of him and Moore is a load.
