Anticipation of Black Friday

Nothing says Holidays like Black Friday - The day when millions of people willingly participate in the complete lunacy of our society. If I had to imagine the end of days, or perhaps a zombie apocalypse, I’m confident it would look very similar to Black Friday. People camping out in at Best Buy in parking lots with propane heaters and potted meat. It’s one of the only days of the year where you can count on homicides in retail outlets and shopping malls across the country. “Oh, you took my parking space? I think I’ll just stab you a couple of times and we’ll call it even.” There is nothing that warms my soul more than watching two middle aged women on the ground wrestling over the last $10 Cuisinart. And ironically, all of this occurs after we spend an entire day celebrating all of the things we are thankful for. For your viewing pleasure, the best of Black Friday.

Yes.....he is doubled over....collects himself and soldiers on into the abyss to locate that 60% off Flatscreen. Dude needs a new coat to be honest, the one he has doesnt fit him.

 

I loved the lady that hit the floor at the beginning and had to grab her wig and put it back on.

Count me in as another who won't shop on Black Friday. There is absolutely nothing I want that's worth fighting through the long lines of traffic and the inconsiderate people.

I actually do enjoy it, but I also make sure to never go where the crazies are. I'm like at Office Depot or Staples. I want no part of Best Buy, Walmart, etc.

 

But I also haven't been in a few years either.

A Technika TV, usually. No one marks down the good stuff that much. Only occasionally.

It makes me really sad when I see these "Black Friday" deal that start on Thursday at 6 or earlier. I realize the stores wouldn't open that early if people didn't come. It's sad we can't take 1 day to spend with family/friends and not worry about getting $20 off the newest model blender or toy.

I heard one purchasing geek from the news say the best time to shop is actually next Tuesday. Black Friday deals are rarely on the top brands and Cyber Monday has ruined Mondays. Tuesday they begin deals on name brand for the holiday.

I wonder if they will have any personal drones for sale on Tuesday. I seriously want to get a personal one to fly around at my grandparents land. I think it would be cool to have.

If you ever see me out shopping on Black Friday, I'll ask you for the following:

 

I've been taken. Call the police and the FBI. If you can find away to get between me and my captors, you will be doing me a great service. If there is any way you can find to slip me a shiv or some other sharp object, that would help.

 

If none of these things are possible and you can't help me get away... take the shot. The sweet escape of a swift death is preferable and will, at that point, be welcomed with open arms.
