gchs_uk9 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I'm planning to make the trip up to Louisville on Friday for the South Warren/Central game. I've never been to a game at Central and was curious about the parking situation. Looking at Google Maps there doesn't appear to be much parking near the stadium other than a Dollar Store lot at one end of the field and what appears to maybe be a factory on one side of the field. Are those places okay to park in? Is there on-street parking? Is there a game-day lot somewhere else that I'm missing? Any help would be appreciated.

I will say this, they have amazing concessions! Just ask rockmom.
Fishhead Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 We parked right on the street outside the stadium when we went for a Highlands game a few years back. Pretty cool place to watch a game.
Commander 25 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Really cool place better get there early.

Pretty cool place to watch a game. Sounds good. I'd say we'll be there 30-45 minutes early, but I'd also bet there will be a really big crowd. I just want to park in a tow-free zone!
SEMPERFIFALCON Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 It is a great place to watch a game. We parked at a church across the street which opened their lot up for free parking. I remember they had some great fans that was very polite and embraced all that is good about high school football, I think you'll be impressed with watching a game there.

I noticed a church on the map and wondered if it would be open for parking. As for the game, Central has been on my bucket list for years. I think I've seen games at 61 different Kentucky schools but really anxious for this one.
rockmom Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Great atmosphere at Central! As mentioned street parking is usually faorly easy and the church is a good option. As PepRock mentioned, the concessions are fantastic! And the drum line....love their drum line. I really like going to a game at Central.
jvdfc Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Absolutely a treat to see a game at Central. You'll love it.
CoachBuckett Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 One of my favorite places to see a game!
JokersWild24 Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Think we had a thread on this a year or two ago. I tried to find it but couldn't. Anyway, everything that's been said here was said in that thread.
gchs_uk9 Posted November 28, 2014 Author Posted November 28, 2014 Thanks to everyone for their input on this thread. I'm about to head off to the game (stopping by grandma's house on the way!) and looking forward to it. I've got a much better idea about getting there now. :thumb:
