:deadhorse::deadhorse: ok we get it, Trinity is obviously an unstoppable force, placed here by God to decimate all opponents in its playoff path. Meade has no chance and all efforts are futile. Just go ahead and give em the trophy folks, no point in playing the next two games. There perfect, they can't be scored against and they ALL know this fact for sure......:isurrender:

Bottom line...we respect the winning tradition, coaching staff and players of Trinity, but we don't fear Trinity. A lot of team lose to X & Trinity before they even get off the bus. Trinity will be a tough out as we will be, but really what would you expect this time of the season.

 

No doubt Trinity played a more difficult schedule during the regular season. But Meade has played a more difficult schedule in the playoffs and has won. Not sold on the regular season difficulty agrument yet..we went to the state championship last year and semi state thus far this year with the same schedule.

Meades playoff schedule has been tougher than Male and X? Hmmm. Look, bottom line is that you have to expect every team to be a tough out at this point in the season. Meade should be congratulated for what they have accomplished this year and last. I suspect that what has raised the ire of some of my Trinity breathren is comments like "porous" defense. I don't expect the Meade County kids to be intimidated by "Rocks" on the jerseys or by a few thousand Shamrock fans invading Brandenburg. Some of the fans on this site seem to be another story. In fact, I would posit that some of the Meade fans on this board might be whistling past that graveyard at one end of the field.

We beat the team ranked #1 in the state almost the whole season and who shut you out 17-0 and you say you played the more difficult playoff schedule? Not sure I can buy into that!

I'm hoping that he means that Meades post season schedule was more difficult than MEADES regular season schedule. There is no doubt that Trinity played a more difficult playoff schedule than Meade. But the teams that Meade has played were no slouch either.

Not sure why anyone would think Trinity does not have a good defense. Believe me, the coaching staff and players don't buy any of the "porous" defense stuff. We all know the super district is the toughest district in 6A. All the programs in 6A have lots of respect for all the teams in that district. We have been the underdogs in every game and by the voting we are again. What's special about this particular Meade team is they are truly a team. These kids are roughly 46-7 since their freshman year.

 

I think what has upset a lot of Meade fans is the shear lack of respect from lots of the Trinity brethren (some think the Waves are not good enough to beat them because you play a tougher regular season schedule), entitlement if you will. We expect a tough game, Trinity might win, but anyone who thinks this team will just hand over the trophy because Trinity shows up with 100 private busses and Rocks on their jersey are severely underestimating the resolve of this Greenwave team. Just like Trinity, this team is well coached (In my opinion some of the best coaches in the state) and has plenty of playmakers.

 

Really on paper Trinity should win..tougher regular season schedule..1400 male population...plays in the dreaded "super district"...15 or so state championships...150 kids on the sidelines...no two way players...big stadium...follows a college formula to find players. But we don't play the game on paper. Trinity will know it was in a dog fight (Ask Scott Co). This Meade team is physically and mentally strong, well coached and believe in each other. Kick-off time is 7:30

I don't doubt Meade is a quality team by any means. They earned a spot in the semis and they deserve respect. I just don't think that outside of Male they have played anyone at Trinity's level this season.

I agree our regular season wasn't no way near as difficult as yours. It not the kids fought they play who is listed. Next year our schedule gets a little more difficult. We added Bulter...Warren Central..Bryan Station and North Hardin returms to our district.

Having to play the teams ranked #1 and #2 in the state in consecutive weeks! I would rather take your schedule over that. No disrespect to any teams out there but I would rather avoid running that gauntlet in rounds 2 & 3. But all this fun means nothing come Friday night!! Lets let the players decide the outcome and prayers they all come out of the game without injury.

Well now that you put it to us like that. I hope Trinity can just try to slow down the Meade County offense. The Rocks haven't really gone up against a team that is capable of only running the ball effectively. I just hope the Rocks can keep it respectable. I mean within 3 TDs of the Greenwave would be an achievement in and of itself.

 

I can only hope our porous defense will slow down the running game of Meade enough so that they stumble and trip on their own since there is really very little chance of our boys stopping it. Against a schedule like Meade has played, the Rocks would have struggled to score a pount. Really looking like the Rocks will be a serious underdog visiting Brandenburg on Friday. I can only hope we don't embarrass ourselves too much.

You've seen the numbers: Trinity's total D is porous enough to score against, against good teams (20s, 30s), so get over your insatiable need to be awesome.

Pretty sure he is referring to when Meade shocked X in the playoffs. I'll never forget that game. That's why we play the game. Tradition at Meade Is just as good as T... They won't back down just because of a name.
