Think it was 14-0 JCU without them running an offensive play: opening kickoff return and a pick six.

63-26 with a little over 4:00left in this Game.

Great season for Centre but we all have to keep it in perspective.

The game undoubtedly would have been more competitive had not Centre lost its QB and best player, Heath Haden, to a concussion on Cente's first series.

Made the trip to the game Saturday morning and that was an adventure in itself. Ran into freezing rain in Ohio for about 100 miles with wrecks too numerous to count and witnessed many, but we made it before kick off. Hoped to see a different out come but John Carroll has a very good team and with the mistakes Centre made in the first half, it was just too much to overcome. Senior QB Heath Haden had to be taken out of the game in the first offensive series due to a concussion and the back up QB is a freshman that had only taken maybe 6 snaps in a game situation (and then with a comfortable lead). In the second half, both the offense and defense started playing much better and played much closer, but the hole from the first half was just too deep. The one thing I seen was that the Centre players never gave up and played to the end.

They had a great season and can be proud of what they accomplished.

OAC and the Wisconsin schools are like D2 schools or FBS schools who stay in D3 to avoid the costs of scholarships. Many of those schools have over 10,000 students and great recruiting bases. It is tough to go up there and stay close, let alone win.

Centre was in the DIII playoffs two years ago too and won their opening round game and lost to Mt. Union in the second round. They have developed a very nice program over there.
