Alabama 25 Mississippi State 20

A typing mistake, buts it's cool and a little creepy that you pay so much attention to my post.

Don't flatter yourself. I'd be creepy if I watched 1000's of hours of JV football on fox sports the ocho :lol2:

If you weren't so obvious with your conference envy of the SEC and KY hatred, no one would even pay any attention to you. But that's probably why you do it

Well if they ever start, you'll be the one to let us know all the games you watched on it...

The Guru and others asked me to post the games I watched, so there for I did.

Again glad to know you read and follow my posting as carefully as you do, again it is creepy though.

Guess State wasn't over ranted....

Fair but that #1 next to their name had to go.

If you can find a post where someone said that, I'd like to see it. I think the general statements were to the effect that this isn't as dominant a Bama team as some recent teams. And this result does not change that. It is really, really, REALLY hard to beat Bama in Tuscaloosa. They've played four games on the road. They lost one. They easily could have (and maybe SHOULD have) lost to LSU. They easily could have lost to an Arkansas team that is likely going to pick up their first SEC victory tonight. Only the UT game did Alabama really flex their muscles, and even in that one they lazily allowed them back into the game.

Alabama is held to a high standard. They may well be the best team in the country. But I do not believe the statements that people were making have been disproven. At least not the ones I'm thinking of, but I may have glossed over more critical ones.

I think this is what JD was referring to.

Isn't very good this year. This season's ranking is based on their reputation in years past. They are backing their way into a one point win over Arkansas right now that they'll be lucky to get, and having watched this game, they've been sooooooooo sloppy that it's unreal. Look at the number of penalties. 3rd & 1 with 1:00 left and they need to run the ball for a first down to seal it, but they're called for a false start.
I think this is what JD was referring to.

Fair enough. It's a single post and from reading his post later in the thread, only rated three teams ahead of Bama, two teams as possible equals, and a couple more teams that could beat them on a given night. It's clear that "isn't very good" was a bit of hyperbole.

From reading the rest of that thread, most people fall in line with what I was saying in this thread, and basically what I said in that one. Bama is good, but not as good as we're used to. It is not crazy to feel that way and there are games to prove it. More than anything, we have more than enough evidence to show that Bama in Tuscaloosa is a totally different animal this year than Bama on the road.
