Cant believe there isnt more discussion about this one. It has all of the makings to be a classic. The first matchup was a good one and i know for a fact that the coaches and players from Madisonville have wanted another shot at OHS. I always say be careful what you wish for. I know the Maroons will be fired up but I love what OHS has done putting Greer on the D-line. Guy is a beast. Throw in the return of Arius Phillips, who played at a very high level last week and I still like the Devils in this one. Gimmie OHS 35-28.

Totally Agree Apollo! This one should be tight all the way through. Am glad Owensboro is healthy to make sure there is not "well if this guy was back we would have won" kind of stuff. Plus you want to find out who's the best team.

I haven't seen Madisonville play, but know they are really good (you don't go down to Franklin and and just get a gift win; you have to earn it).

I like Owensboro at home 21-20, but wouldn't be shocked if it were flipped the other way either.

Both team Big on the O'line - Madisonville has a WKU commit (the Center I think). Both teams have lots of speed in the skill slots. I personally think Owensboro has the better offense and I think Madisonville has the better defense. But both of those are close. Owensboro's defense looked the best I've seen in a while last week and Madisonville has won 7 in a row. Madisonville blanked Henderson Co. 49-0, while that was the game Owensboro struggled and lost (pitiful defensive effort that game). Both teams seem to be playing solid now and Owensboro has gotten 3 of its primary defenders back (Phillips, Crowe and Tinsley), which it didn't have at the Henderson game. Lindsay has been playing more at linebacker, while also being the backup fullback. That's a great decision as he is an athlete and strong. Again the game at Rash, Owensboro went to the semi's last year and I think they do it again, but Madisonville will be ready.

Owensboro 35-21

He had turf toe and I don't think he did much last game - although he played. He didn't have a carry and he didn't catch a pass - I think he looked limited. Also, Michael Johnson came out during last week's game - those 2 are the fastest guys on the team. Hopefully both play.

Phillips (#8) came back and he had a nice INT and run back. Defense is in good shape. Offense has a stable of running backs, Barrett and Johnson are both needed at WR though.

Update - Barrett did record 5 tackles on defense though. Hopefully they were just resting him.
